Characteristics: Fleur de Sel, or “flower of salt” is a hand-harvested sea salt. Workers scrape the top layer of salt before it sinks to the bottom of the salt pan. Because no industrial methods or additional additives are used, Omed’s fleur de sel has a high content of natural minerals like iod, iron and calcium. There is also less concentration of NaCl. This fleur de sel enriches dishes as it is less salty than others found in the market. It dissolves easily and is a great finishing salt.
